Things You Should Be Doing This Weekend Instead Of Going Out
Ah, the weekend. Everybody loves the weekend. With my schedule, I don’t really have weekends — or weekdays for that matter — and I still love weekends. I don’t go out too often, but just knowing that people will be out and about and that I have an option to party, feels like relief. That’s what weekends are all about, no?
Going out and enjoying yourself and finding a release. Partying is a great way to physically vent. You go out with some friends, have some drinks, socialize, meet new people, network, maybe even meet someone interesting enough to take home — or take out on a date if that’s what you’re looking for.
Partying your arse off on the weekends is perfect if that’s what you need to do. But that’s not always what we need to do. The problem with Generation-Y in particular is that we feel as if we are obligated to party. We grew up within a partying culture, clubbing since the day we turned 13. Even so, we can choose not to spend our weekends guzzling down booze or wasting time, energy and money — there are other things that we can do.
We should always do what we feel that we need to do to better our own situation — to make us feel better about ourselves and our lives. If we feel that we need a release and that partying it up will bring us that release, then great; but maybe there are other things that you need that take precedence?
