Leading an Unhappy Life Is a Waste of Time
When I was younger I felt insecure, I felt lost and I felt unhappy. I didn’t really have a reason to be. I had a great life with fabulous friends and very supportive parents who gave me attention but I wasn’t strong enough to be the person I really am. I truly think that you get what you put out and I wasn’t putting out my own sense of self-worth. Once I discovered it was okay to be the way I am, I started to accept myself and I gained self-esteem and confidence that I never had before. I’m already such a different person now and I can proudly say that I’m incredibly happy with who I am.
Many people in this world are not happy with who they are, they waste their time focusing on all the negative things they have instead of looking at all the good qualities they possess. Self-acceptance is an eternal and priceless gift. Self-acceptance can’t be solved with shopping, plastic surgeries or a hiding mask. No expensive or cheap purchase will give you the acceptance you need. Remember no matter how successful or unknown you become, you will never be satisfied if you are not able to accept who you are. No one is perfect. But if you accept who and what you are, eventually you will feel perfect in your own way.
Being confident about who you are is the first step to happiness. Recognizing what you love about yourself will make you much happier to be in your own skin. Never forget how blessed you are to be you. If you spend so much time obsessing about your flaws and things you want to change, you’ll never be fully happy just being yourself. It’s so important to have a strong sense of self-worth and confidence. Instead of feeling bad every single day do something to correct your perceived flaws. There is a solution to every problem if you are willing to make the EFFORT. Remember, sometimes the thing you hate most about yourself is actually the thing that other people love the most.
Tips
- Be HAPPY with who you are
- Appreciate what makes you UNIQUE
- MINIMIZE your insecurities
- IGNORE negative thoughts
- LOVE yourself and always have the courage to be yourself completely
I know it’s hard to accept yourself but it’s not an impossible thing to do. As time goes on I’m still learning, like I told you before I’m already such a different person now that I wish everyone could go through that change and just SNAP out of it! Treat yourself with respect and be thankful for everything you have. I know how easy it is to look down on yourself but you have to believe that you are a beautiful person that deserves only the best. Be proud of who you are and definitely don’t surround yourself with people who can’t see that either. Being happy as a God given right and it begins with appreciation of what you have instead of what you don’t have.
